While decorating a space there are two things that should be kept in mind. One is to be unique and the other is to be creative. The way your home looks and feels, speaks a lot about your personality and living style. Today, we see people decorating their homes in different styles. - Synchronization: All the rooms in the house should be decorated in such a way that there is a sense of persistence in them. One room should not be vastly dissimilar from the other.
- Decorations: While designing a home, one should keep in mind to decorate it with things that catches the eyes of people. Every room should have at least one thing that makes the room look more luring whether it’s a frame, or a figure.
- Color Combinations: The color combinations you select for your room should reflect the personality of the person whom it belongs to. For e.g. if the room belongs to a young girl, it should have some girly colors like pink and if it is for a boy, use some masculine colors like blue, etc.
- Furniture: The furniture you select for your room should be in sync with the color and the size of the room. Keeping big furniture’s in small rooms can make it look messy. One should always remember to not fill the rooms with a lot of stuffs as a simple and an elegant room looks more attractive and gives a subtle feel.

Your are very right about keeping your overall design scheme in mind when decorating each individual room. Many times people will do one room (an office or bedroom)in some wild theme that has nothing to do with the rest of the house. Not attractive!
